Application
Rega airtight dampers are designed for use in all HVAC application where
both control and shut off are required. They are suitable for operating
pressures up to 2000Pa and at test pressures up to 3000Pa leakage rates
of less than 10 l/s per square meter are achieved.
Construction
The units have 1.2mm galvanised steel frames and aerofoil section blades.
Twin hardened aluminium gears drive each blade, these are mounted on shafts
running in nylon bearings sealed through the casing to prevent air leakage
through the duct wall. Neoprene rubber seals are fitted to each blade and
side seals, with PTFE facings for minimal frictional resistance, ensure
the maximum level of air tightness. Units are available with linkage drive
mechanisms for parallel blade operation.
Range
Type JA252 – 100mm blade units with 110mm deep casings. The maximum
module size is 1000mm wide x 1000mm high.
Type JA253 – 165mm blade units with 175mm deep casings. The maximum
module size is 1600mm wide x 1600mm high dependant on the maximum operating
pressure of the damper.
