Application
Rega heavy-duty circular dampers are designed to meet the requirements
of the industrial, chemical and nuclear industries, where dependable performance
under a wide range of operating conditions is essential. Standard designs
are available to operate at pressures up to 5000Pa or temperatures up to
600oC but special units can be produced for application with operating
conditions outside this range.
Construction
Meeting such a range of application requirements demands a wide variety
of manufacturing techniques. Damper casing are produced from mild steel,
galvanised steel or stainless steel in thickness from 3mm to 6mm. Continuous
shafts or stub shafts may be used depending upon the installation conditions.
Blast gate dampers may be provided with screw operating mechanisms for high
pressures.
Range
Type CBD-01 Circular butterfly damper – Of single plate blade design
the unit may be provided with blade seals to provide positive shut off in
addition to control. The dampers are of compact design with the overall
length generally equal to the duct diameter.
Type CND-01 Circular non return damper – Operating by gravity the
CND-01 unit uses twin blades to ensure positive shut off and reliable operation,
without the need for springs or counter weights.
