What is MVHR

and how does it work?

MVHR (Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery) provides continuous fresh, filtered air while recovering heat from stale air – creating healthier, more efficient homes.

What is MVHR?

Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR) is a whole-house ventilation system that continuously supplies fresh, filtered air into your home while extracting stale, moisture-laden air from bathrooms, kitchens, and utility rooms.

Unlike traditional ventilation methods that allow valuable heat to escape, an MVHR system recovers heat from the outgoing air and uses it to warm the incoming fresh air. This creates a healthier, more comfortable indoor environment while improving energy efficiency.

MVHR in one sentence

MVHR continuously removes stale air from wet rooms while supplying filtered fresh air to living spaces, recovering up to 90% of the heat that would otherwise be lost.
