Warranty Policy

Last Updated: July 2026

1. Warranty Overview

At Rega Ventilation, we are committed to supplying high-quality MVHR systems that are designed and manufactured to provide years of reliable performance.

This Warranty Policy explains the warranty provided with our products, what is covered, what is excluded, and how to make a warranty claim.

This warranty is provided in addition to your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

2. Warranty Period

Rega Ventilation MVHR units are supplied with a 3-year manufacturer's warranty.

The warranty start date depends on who installs the system.

Systems Installed by the Customer or a Third Party

Where the MVHR system is installed by the customer or by an installer not employed by Rega Ventilation, the warranty begins on the date the unit is delivered or collected.

Systems Installed by Rega Ventilation

Where Rega Ventilation carries out the installation, the warranty begins on the date the system is second fixed, commissioned and handed over to the customer.

3. What Is Covered

During the warranty period, Rega Ventilation will, at its discretion:

  • Repair defective components.

  • Supply replacement parts.

  • Replace the complete unit where appropriate.

This warranty covers faults caused by:

  • Manufacturing defects.

  • Defective materials.

  • Faults occurring during normal domestic use when the product has been installed, commissioned and maintained in accordance with Rega Ventilation's instructions.

4. Conditions of the Warranty

To maintain the validity of the warranty, the following conditions must be met:

  • The unit must be installed in accordance with the latest Rega Ventilation Installation Manual.

  • The system must be commissioned before being placed into normal operation.

  • For systems installed by the customer or a third-party installer, commissioning should be completed within 12 months of the unit being delivered or collected.

  • The unit must be maintained in accordance with the Operation & Maintenance Manual.

  • Filters must be cleaned or replaced at the recommended intervals.

  • The unit must only be used for its intended purpose.

  • The electrical supply must comply with current regulations and the requirements stated within the installation instructions.

Where commissioning has not taken place within 12 months of delivery or collection, Rega Ventilation reserves the right to inspect the unit before accepting a warranty claim. This helps ensure the unit has been stored correctly and has not deteriorated, become contaminated or sustained damage prior to being placed into service.

Failure to meet these conditions may invalidate the warranty.

5. Important Installation Requirement

Do Not Operate the Unit Before Commissioning

If the MVHR system is installed during the first fix stage of a build, the unit must not be switched on or operated until the property has reached second fix and the system has been professionally commissioned.

Operating the unit during construction can draw large amounts of plaster dust, sanding dust and other building debris into the system. This can contaminate the filters, heat exchanger and fans, potentially causing damage and reducing the performance and lifespan of the unit.

Any damage resulting from operating the unit before commissioning or during the construction phase is not covered by this warranty.

If temporary ventilation is required during construction, an alternative method should be used.

6. What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover faults or damage resulting from:

  • Incorrect installation.

  • Failure to follow the Installation Manual.

  • Operating the unit before commissioning.

  • Running the unit during the construction phase.

  • Lack of routine maintenance.

  • Failure to clean or replace filters.

  • Accidental damage.

  • Misuse or neglect.

  • Unauthorised modifications or repairs.

  • Incorrect electrical connections or power surges.

  • Fire, flooding, lightning or other events outside our control.

  • Cosmetic damage that does not affect the operation of the unit.

  • Normal wear and tear.

  • Consumable items, including filters, unless found to be faulty on delivery.

7. Customer Installed Systems

7. Customer Installed Systems

Where an MVHR system is installed by the customer or by a third-party installer, the manufacturer's warranty remains valid provided the system has been installed, commissioned and operated in accordance with Rega Ventilation's design, installation instructions and technical guidance.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Installing the ductwork in accordance with the Rega Ventilation design provided.

  • Using the correct duct sizes, fittings and approved components specified by Rega Ventilation.

  • Installing the recommended number and type of valves and terminals.

  • Following the installation instructions supplied with the unit.

  • Commissioning the system correctly.

Rega Ventilation cannot accept warranty claims for faults or premature component failure where they are found to have been caused by an installation that differs from our design or technical requirements.

Examples include, but are not limited to:

  • Incorrect duct sizes or duct types.

  • Excessively long or restrictive duct runs.

  • Poorly installed or damaged ductwork.

  • Incorrectly fitted dampers or terminals.

  • Excessive system resistance (high static pressure).

  • Incorrect balancing or commissioning.

  • Unauthorised modifications to the system.

  • The use of non-approved components where these have contributed to the fault.

Where an installation places excessive strain on the MVHR unit or its components, resulting in premature wear or failure of items such as fan motors, bearings or electronic components, these failures will not be covered under this warranty.

If a warranty claim is submitted, Rega Ventilation reserves the right to inspect the installation or request commissioning data, photographs and other supporting information before approving the claim.

8. Systems Installed by Rega Ventilation

Where Rega Ventilation carries out the installation and commissioning, we warrant our workmanship in addition to the manufacturer's warranty.

If an issue is found to be the result of our installation or commissioning work, we will investigate and, where appropriate, rectify the issue.

9. Making a Warranty Claim

If you believe your unit has developed a fault during the warranty period, please contact us with:

  • Your name and contact details.

  • Proof of purchase.

  • Unit model.

  • Serial number.

  • A description of the fault.

  • Photographs or videos where available.

Our technical team may ask for additional information before determining the most appropriate course of action.

10. Inspection

Rega Ventilation reserves the right to inspect any product before approving a warranty claim.

Where requested, the unit or defective component may need to be returned for inspection.

If the fault is found not to be covered under this Warranty Policy, repair or replacement may be offered at the customer's expense.

11. Limitation of Liability

This warranty covers the repair or replacement of defective products only.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rega Ventilation shall not be liable for:

  • Consequential or indirect losses.

  • Loss of income or business.

  • Additional labour costs incurred by third parties.

  • Damage resulting from incorrect installation by others.
